  • Netflix Music docs

i signed up for Netflix last night, mainly to watch the new hop hop documentary plus to re watch stranger things.

when I joined a few years back it wasn't much good, but it looks like they have a lot more on offer now.
any hip hop / funk or just decent music documentaries you recommend on there?

'I dream of wires' was really good
'I have avoided competitive situations because I am not a baboon'

The Charles Bradley and Sharon Jones ones are still on there, I think.

And The Get Down, of course

There's a great documentary about Divine. I know her/his music is not to everyone's taste but it's a really great doc and the story is pretty bonkers.

Yeah, that Divibne one was great. Continuing the hip hop tips: I quite enjoyed the doc about ORGANIZED NOIZE that's on there currently too. The Lil Wayne and Snoop Lion docs have both been on there at points, both entertaining and (to me) interesting but both also a bit confounding.... I was ready to find LW charming and Snoop irritating, but got them completely the other way round.
