Read it and weep - Bonhams

What a load of tat at that auction.

The console being the exception - imbued as it is with the spirit of the mighty Floyd.

Just think of how many times Alan Parson's builders arse was spotted beneath that console!

What I said probably just reflected being at a low ebb having walked home in high humidity at the end of the working week.

There were a few things there that struck me as particularly sad.

Each to their own, of course

The Friday Gin Club is in session now

The Hendrix recorder estimate seems crazy. The Worrell Minimoog and Wurlitzer look like snips, if they're not shagged internally?

Same with all that Abbey Road gear really, your'e talking serious dollar to bring it back to working spec. I say this without having had a nose through the catalogue. I like to think someone is going to buy history like that and start using it again to record bands rather than having it sit in some glass case in a museum.

Which reminds me did anyone see they are opening a rock and roll museum in the Cunard building in Liverpool? It all looked a bit grim to be honest but then I only caught a short segment on the local news.
