  • 7" slipmats?

Does anyone know of anywhere these are available?

Need one for the vestax portable. Done a bit of googling but haven't found any in the UK, If not guess I'll have to try and cut down a normal one!

Twisted Nerve made (make?) 7" slipmats and Quantic's Will Holland's new label has them (www.magfields.com).

do you actually need a slip mat for the portable (for some Mark 45 King style action) or do you just want something soft to prevent scratching things on the hard platter?

i bought a length of sticky-backed black felt from a craft shop and stuck that on, and works very nicely. have some spare if anyone want some - can bring to a Brillo...

I use it only to protect my 7's. No portable wicki-wicki action for me.

Thanks for the help, it's only needed to look after the vinyl (I like to use the portable to listen to stuff in the kitchen when I'm cooking), no turntablist action.

Mike that felt stuff sounds like it would do the job nicely, if I could get some off you at the next brillo it would be cool, thanks... I'll use a napkin till then

Actually I have a specific napkin in mind, it has details of a couple of records that Andrew (Soul-Fiend) recommended I look out for on one side and a rough map of charity shops in Chiswick on the other. That's got to be funky, if not in colour then in content...

It's been lying beside my PC for ages.
