  • Nino Ferrer recommendations?

I've really been enjoying what I've heard from Nino so far and want to hear more. As he did sooo much stuff (and there's always loads on the 'bay) I'm a bit cautious about what to aim for next.

    Thus far I have:

    Mao et Mao EP

    Le Telefon EP

    Nino & Radiah

    Metronomie

    Many thanks in advance

I think this is the best thing he's ever done. Im going to stick the song with motorcycle noises on my next mix. Its fab.

I have a ferrer 7" with with going on about restaurants and zuchinnis and tings. I'll dig it out later. I played it to rich hero and he thought its was grooovy too.

Nice little bio here btw. Sad that he killed himself. I always quite liked the idea that he would live in his castle (or whatever!) drinking vino till his death.

ps if anyone needs a mao et mao I have one for trade.

These tracks are on the Metronomie LP.

One you didn't mentionned which is very good is the "Je Voudrais etre noir" EP, with the mad funk tune "La Bande A Ferrer" Part 1 and 2.

You can listen the sound on my website: www.frenchattack.com

Is that the one by Douwe Egberts (or something?)

Metronomie and Blanat are the most progressive.

Nino Ferrer & Leggs is pretty swell as well.

'Il Baccala' was the jerky one I had. Well worth getting.

Ive heard of a cover of 'mirza' by Suzanne Gabriello. any cop?

I think his 'PER VOI GIOVANI' might be worth checking out too. Not got round to this yet either.
