        Obviously you're not familiar enough with punk to get the joke. Which is fine - so don't take offense... it was just me acting stupid being bored on my job

                              I believe former Womble Chris Spedding did the honours on Never Mind The Bollocks...one of those genuine connections you couldn't make up if it wasn't actually true Funny how conventional the 'rock' on the Sex Pistols records sounds now...it's Lydon's voice rather than the actual music that seems to make it 'punk' in a lot of ways.

                              I do agree with Simon Reynolds' articles lately that 'new wave' (broadly defined) was better than yer actual core punk, and I'm looking forward to reading his book...but it'll be interesting to see how stretched his 'golden age' theory gets when he reaches Eurythmics and the like...
