  • Using CD flight cases for 45's?

I've noticed the cheap CD "flight" cases you can get now from computer shops/market stalls. I wondered if they would be compatible for 45's ie two sets together rather than three sets of CD's together?

I've never priced 45 flight cases mind so maybe it's not even worth doing?
Maybe the 7's won't even fit?

I would only use them for storing in the house so they don't have to be particulary heavy duty cases.

Just a thought, what with the low cost of the CD cases.

Anyone else thought/tried this or can tell me that it's not worth doing?

    Cheers

If you need 45 cases try:

    www.turntablelab.com
    www.dubvendor.co.uk
www.covers33.co.uk <---- theirs are "lightweight" cases so its not advisable to put your 7's in this and chuck it off the top of your local multi storey car park. But with the others go right ahead

Also in the back of record collector someone advertises purpose made cardboard boxes for 45 storage

Using CD cases to carry 45s is against the rules of DJing. Customs could stop you and seize your 45s if you tried to take them abroad...

What do you mean? I haven't bought from them myself but from what I have heard they're very reliable....

P.S. I just realised that it was the deeplink that you was referring to. Don't know anything about that though. Sorry....

Dunno who you were asking what they meant, but if it was me you were asking, I was just kidding, being silly!
