    Tinga Stewart did a version, came out on UK Dragon (DRA 1025) 1974 - not bad really..
    talking of Buster, anyone out there with a spare of "ISLAM" (bluebeat) will trade big - even a CDR copy would make me very happy.

    Sorry Chaps 'The Message' version was'nt Prince Buster at all I was confused, Prince Buster did a version of Funky Nassau...

    Pop-Reggae band Aswad did a cover of The Message, I think it was released as a 12" as well.  It's got that early 90's production feel to it.  Nice but too squeeky clean, might work in a retro hacienda-type set.  
    But the guitar riff on the original just makes my hair !  More infectious than SARS!  Isn't there a battle disc where the intro is looped for about 6 mins?
