• Feelings banging italian library lp

Hey guys. Probably a question for the resident library specialists among you, but I thought I'd put it to the floor.

Apart from the 90s Easy Tempo reissue, does anyone know how many different issues of the 'Feelings' library LP there are? I've found at least four: Italian issues on Carosello (wicked 'girl in a field' cover), Constanza (plain yellow sleeve), and some other 80s label whose name I can't remember at the moment (it had a red jacket and was called 'Tensione', or something like that, rather than 'Feelings&#39, and then, of course, the Conroy issue.

Also, does anyone know for sure who the composers were? Most issues credit Jay Richford and Gary Stevan (very authentic Italian-sounding names&#33 I'm pretty sure one of these is a pseudonym for Stefano Torossi, but who else was in on the session?

Thanks for any help you can give.

I think the best man to ask about this would be Iueke when he comes on.

I would be interested to know where you saw the feelings with the girl in the fern field! I know this one is pretty rare...

One of the nutson got the feelings on Constanza from ebay maybe six months ago for about £50 or something ridiculous! Everyone was catching zzz's that day!

I don't have the conroy feelings (which Im presuming doesnt credit Torossi) but Im fairly sure the Constanza one does. A wonderful record for sure.

I got my Carosello ('girl in a field&#39 'Feelings' in a trade with a mate of mine from Italy years ago. At the time, he recokned he'd be able to find me more copies; but, needless to say, he never could! I heard of one other copy in a guy from South London's collection, but apparently he wouldn't give it up. I'd say 'pretty rare' is an understatement!

The same guy I got my copy off told me it was actually a soundtrack to a pretty wild film. Now that's something I'd like to see!

So let me get this straight.

The CONROY Library "FEELINGS" has been issued on
other Library labels and has actually been "Reissued'
from Easy Tempo ? Is that correct ?

Thank you very much for your reply

        Jack

Do excuse me for butting in here - I don't know this LP, but is this one of those funny Conroy Eurobeat jobs, or is it just from the usual Conroy series?

If it's a Eurobeat, I think it's possible it may be from a film - Eurobeat/Irving Wilson published a lot of European film soundtracks (mainly from Italy and Poland, it seems) and recyled them as library music.

            Thanks for your input, guys.

The actual chronogology of the different issues of this LP is a little confusing. I know the Conroy issue credits 'Carosello Music, Italy', so I guess Conroy must have licensed the music in the UK on the Italian label's behalf. But I don't know whether Carosello was itself a library label (or whether their LPs were commercially available), or indeed why the music to this particular session was then subsequently put out on other Italian labels, such as Constanza.

The UK issue (from 1976) is on the standard orange Conroy label, not the blue Eurobeat sub-series.

‘Feelings’ on Top Tape / Carosello TT 067 label, with the different easy/sexy cheesecake cover belonging to the edition released in Italy in 1975, is by Jay Richford & Gary Stevan (aka Stefano Torossi), note that Stevan = Stefano.
The first original issue is on Carosello - Stereo CLN 25041 made in Italy (1974) but I cannot check out it because I haven't got the vinyls

Not sure but I'm trying to discover who is behind Jay Richford, maybe Giovanni Tommaso (Jay = Giovanni), I guess.

Another Torossi's alias is Farlocco (= Fake, into Italian language), do you know "Jazz video" on Rotary label R 1004 from 1974?

‘Feelings’ on Conroy label, BMLP 143, dates 1976.

Stefano Torossi - "Feelings" on Costanza (1986): the LP says 1986, but this is only the issue date.
