Looks like Soulstrut has started bootlegging people! The guy in the pictures who is labelled as big nick may be big, and he may be nick, but he ain't me. And the guy who's posted messages as Nick C from Hackney is similarly not Nick C from Whitechapel (I know, I know, but it's only down the road, and once the para kicks in...)
Can somebody please do me a favour and reassure me that I didn't go last night?
Does look like fun though, in a several-receding-blokes-standing-around-in-a-pub-talking-record-nonsense sort of way. Right up my street, in fact, so any chance of a heads-up next time? I promise I won't start a rumble with any wack-imitator big nicks

East London conflab anyone ?
Whitechapel and Hackney get together ?
Meet up and discuss Chas & Dave in the Blind Beggar ?
(Oh, we do that already. I'll see myself out.)
Stop wasting your money on records and get a proper hobby.

<span =''>Are we going to have to make you stand back to back and judge who's Big Nick and who's Little Nick? It's normally the second Monday of the month (venue management issues permitting). Just keep an eye on Soulstrut. And be sure sure to bring the Rogaine for all us receding-blokes-standing-around-in-a-pub.

Monday night was ridiculously good, and I think we deserve bonus points for managing to retain a higher quota of normal punters in the pub than last month.

...and what the #### do you think they thought was going on in there ? Some kind of Sound Burger convention ? Maybe some sort of outreach programme for lonely chainsmokingheavydrinkingbreakbeatrarewombles collectors ?

Brilliant night all round, and certainly proof if proof was needed that a VV get together in similar circumstances would be a worthy venture for someone to organise.

Did you guys find anything interesting in the 'Bollywood warehouse'? I'm looking for any Indian (<---ignorant Western generalisation alert) covers of Western pop stuff. Bombay Beats had Abba and Boney M covers LPs recently and I'd love to get hold of any bits like that without having to pay dealer prices (unless it's something special).

Let him have the lot for £2.00 - we were only going to throw 'em out anyway...
