• Previous brillo radio show

This weeks radio excursion got me thinking about the last one.

I was wondering what people thought of the Brillo tracks selected so far? Those who submitted but who were not in london - where you feeling them?

ah yes the crystal one - An amazing coincidence as that dropped onto my door mat yesterday!

I wasn't even expecting it - so thanks to a certain Bearded One for the lovely surprise.

oooh controversial what was the 5

Actually there were a couple where I thought the voting was downright wrong - haha - but you can't win em all!

That glastonbury is the bizness - I actually figured out what it was when I saw one on ebay - didnt win it tho

That's when you knew what was going on y'mean

I agree to a certain extent, but that the thing with voting on stuff like that, *someones* favourite tracks get left off. I was a bit gutted that a certain scottish track didn't make it, but hey..... it'll be a really good comp doubtless.

I guess the downside to a fully democratic method of comping something like this is that not everyone will be totally satisfied with the end tracklist and maintaining a 'vision' can be tricky, but it does kind of make it a little eccentric and I think that's what UK oddball brillo shit is all about...

                So quit yer bitchin!

In an effort to save on time to get all the tracks in, I've made edits of Rich's and Hadrian's tracks to get them in at under 4 mins... I'll play them on Monday to see what you think, or if you guys even agree with tampering with the tracks like that...

Space on the CD is becoming a big concern right now - but on the upside, I have an intro supplied by John.S that will totally split your sides, I swear! Wait til you hear it, I think I may have to play at three times by request... !

oooooooh get you nick c. You know I was only teasing as I dont think I paid any attention to the voting process or indeed voted for the right tracks myself.

Blame it on the beer....can we have a beer icon mr Hopkinson?

I second that, nice call Sermad !!

p.s. wrong place probably to say this, but MANY THANKS Mr Hopkinson for the CDR you dropped me in the post - I've been meaning to email you all week - sorry I forgot ! I love the films, thoroughly entertaining! Bless you Sir !
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

Well it's one option. Two of the tracks are around 6 minutes long and it would be nice to include John Stapleton's contribution, even if it's a bit late... It would also be nice to have at least an intro and outro - I've got an amazing intro from John, in a thick, cornish accent...

It's gonna be real tight, but what it comes down to is this: We can either edit a track or fade early on it, or lose one or more tracks from the comp.
