  • Barry white....

Just got myself a copy of "Music Maestro Please" and think it's absolutly top notch stuff and made me wonder what other BW stuff is essential - also have "Together Brothers" which is a belter...any advice?

Also, in an unrelated matter, the lady will soon be moving up north from London, with all her in tow. Since she can't drive it's been left to myself to undertake this trip - was wondering if anyone had done such things and could give advice on van hire etc.
    Errr..Hambone?

As on another recent thread paying dues to the Walrus' recent departure, check 'Playing Your Game', deffo one of the finest pieces he ever produced. There has also been a recent 12" instro release of this cut on the Jazz Funk re-issue label.

But then, you just can't knock classics like 'I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More, Baby' either - a great track with an awesome opening breakbeat too! Lovely stuff.
Let him have the lot for £2.00 - we were only going to throw 'em out anyway...

All the Love Unlimited Orchestra stuff I've ever come across is worth copping... should always be cheap too.

For fans of Playing Your Game, there's another slow funky tune that usually gets overlooked, mainly because it's from his crap late disco period. It's by Love Unlimited Orchestra and it's called Hip Dressin', High Stepping Fella (Got It Together). The vocal's not great, but the instro version is.

            Not on my 45

Can't be finding it now, but mine's definitely got some non-'playing your game' shiz on the flip.
