Although I've not heard it yet (it's always eluded me in the wild), it's quite likely to be her - she did the Voices In Latin album for Morgan at around the same time, which Duncan Lamont also had a hand it.

It's a weird one, was a new one on me. There are some odd lyrics in it about 'Ibiza' that made me chuckle in their cheesiness. I've read his 'Mr Peddler' or 'Heavy on the Light Side' whatever you want to call it released in 76 was recorded in 72 not sure how true that is. It's doesn't touch what 'The Peddlers' did but it's a good listen from memory and quite heavy on the Rhodes which is cool. 'Spanish Sun' though, I'm with you it's strange although he's a session guy going right back to the days of playing guitar for 'Joe Meek' so maybe he just saw it as a quick cash job and chanced he might get a summer holiday hit out of it.

The lp and labels do not credit BM. However it does credit Monty Babson as supervision. MB has been creditied to collaborate with BM. I believe an earlier release 'Voices in Latin' does credit both Lamont and Moore. But this lp has eluded me for over a decade. I have found both my copies of Lazy Latin and still cant believe why someone defaced the sleeve of the latter purchase in such a way!

Barry Morgan, who co founded the Morgan label with Monty Babson and also owned the Morgan Studios had also collaborated Barbara Moore and had been credited as such. Morgan was a jazz drummer and some of his recordings with Moore are very sought after...

Both Stan Butcher lps on cbs featured Moore on vocals Lamont on Sax and Morgan on drums. Reinforcing the link.. I have a stunning copy of Swing Like a Bxxxxx; but the other release ive never seen.

If I had the time then a great thread or web site would be to marry up sleeves and their records. I have so many spare sleeves and loose records for which I doubt I will ever find their match. Id always be happy to trade either sleeves or records for my lonely hearts.

there's a 'matchmaker' thread on this forum. do a search for it you should be able to find it.

Yes, Barbara Moore always (or nearly always) used Barry Morgan as her drummer - it's him on the Brass Incorporated 'At The Sign Of The Swinging Cymbal', which Barbara arranged and conducted, and which helped spark off my obsession with British session drummers of the 60s and 70s.

that's surely just a tear? got a few sleeves with similar holes (not as bad as that). Thought originally you meant someone had cut out the photo to put on their wall or something.

Was thinking of pasting over a Frank Sidebottom head. Better than thet silly sombrero affair. Looks like a delibreate tear to me. Smooth radial type aperture.. Not an accident.

I think it's pretty obvious what that tear is, unless I'm the only one on here who's ever made a roach with the closest bit of cardboard to hand.
