    • Skint at the moment but have had some arrivals bought last month. Will insert pics as soon as i get my pc fixed.

bob chance - the bomb/it's broken (torchlite)

1980 reissue of jubal's childrens psych funk dancer... thanks for the help jens!

krokodil - blue flashing circle/tell me what you want (liberty)

another big belfast fave, "VG" wins again and turns out to be EX!

      las grecas - orgullo/?? (cbs)
great cheap girl euro psychfunkpop, absolutely loving this. coming to a x-mas swap soon if it hasn't been used already.

      one LP:
      kati kovacs - s/t
      no intro needed

oh and some real world stuff, 50p each in a shop:

michel polnareff - love me, please love me EP
with 'ne mes marchez sur les pieds' from my xmas cd, pic sleeving and minting up

honeybus - can't let maggie go/tender are the ashes (portuguese deram)
portuguese issue, lots of them in that box. never had this for some reason

cat stevens - baby get your head screwed on EP (portuguese deram)
haven't listened properly yet but liking this version as much as the rarer heavier ones. works better as pop than freakbeat i think.

      jeanette - porque te vas/??
didn't know this but liked it when i listened in the shop. have a thing for girly euro pop at the moment apparently.

Longtime B-Music fave, killer intro. It was on Dr Smith's CD last year although his spelling means it doesn't turn up in an 'orgullo' search of the site. Nice purchases, Seb.

        • Vacation is over... some of my best finds:

Michael Nesmith and the Second National Band - Tantamount to Treason vol 1
How sad volume 2 never materialized - I can't get enough of Wax Minute with that e-z country-groove and weird organ freakout in the end. What with all the Wyrd Folk craze some while back we need a Weiiird Country one too I think. No idea what else there is in that bag except maybe for some of the stuff from the Yeehaw comp even though much of that is more lyrically weird than musically. And Peter Grudzien who is also on said comp.

Henryk Lysiak - Swinging Hammond in Stereo vol 2
Admittedly this sounded better with beers at the Crillo but still pretty groovy soul covers.

          Amon Düül - Paradieswärths Düül
OG. Even though I had to pay I'm glad for a NM/NM copy.

          Oriental Wind - Chila-chila
As recently mentioned by me here already.

and that is you and me side by side, on the licorice ride"

Once the builders have finished and I've got my stuff set up in my new bespoke music lounge the answer to this question will be revealed.

                Yes please, Hugh.

Weird country is fine country. Got a few I'd like to update my old country chart with, as well.

They do a decent version of Idris Mohamed's "Lorain's dance" on here (Tribe called Quest were fans!).

                    Great finds BTW mate.

                      Not bored at all. Enlightened.

                      Lovely.

Didn't know it before but I do now. That 'reaching' kind of vocal style always gets me. Some sublime 'Whoah's'

                      Many thanks.

                      • been scouring a nearby bargain bin and come up with a mint copy of Red Beans and Rice featuring Ray Draper (demo copy and US pressing).

                        For a mere two bucks.

and the Brighouse and Rastrick Band doing Theme from Shaft for a single buck - Hypnotic Brass Ensemble who?
