    Vancouver finds

Here's the pick of my haul from Vancouver.

Harmonium from 1975 is proggy acid folk, top right is folky stuff with dulcimer I haven't listened to yet, bottom right is a real winner - Raoul Luoar Yaugud Duguay - Alllo Toulmond, and Mashmakhan's 2nd LP is also great, though it tails off a bit on side 2 IMO.

The two Melodic Energy Commission LPs came from Dandelion. If you don't know the name there is a Hawkwind connection in Del Dettmar, who played on the early LPs before moving to Canada. At bottom right is local piano with odd orchestration ... not sure about this yet. Les Alexandrins is storming Montreal Psych pop

Soundtracks: Westworld is an 80s reissue, Uptight looks battered but plays VG+ and at last a mint copy of Performance. Attila is live from The Vancouver Folk Festival.

Mandrill's first, Tupac Amaru is local Jazz with steel drums and berimbau, the black cover is local free Jazz which I haven't listed to all the way through yet, Melodic Energy Commission 45 is a long time want crossed off the list and The Ebony Godfather LP is pretty damn tasty funky moog and flute workouts from a pre-disco Joe Thomas.

Some more ... You Are What You Eat, a keiba one with Terayama Shuji poetry (OK this was from Tokyo), The Sunshine Company (sunshine pop) and a cheap and beat up copy of Zodiac Cosmic Sounds

A couple of oddities. The Crest one has a Moby Grape track but ain't that great otherwise. Cirrus is presumably a rolling paper brand

Also, some 45s of note ...

    Pan Atlantics - Serengeti Stroke

    Burundi Black on Barclay

Menahan Street Band - Make the Road by Walking

and some others of less note which I won't bore you with

      Wow - nice finds.

I have no clue what any of the stuff in the first 2 pics are but they sure look interesting!

Those Jazz Apples are tasty and are of a solid texture, though they seem quite expensive.

I forgot to say I did only try them because of the name, and quite rightly back to the vinyl!

Mandrill: check "Kofijahm", proper deepness, and nice and cheap on a 45 as well.

Oh crikey, I'd forgotten that! Is it the Yorkie brown vinyl version?

I bet the Bob Rowe and Adam Best LPs Ben got were from the same collection......

Tumbler's blue and Inside Out is pink. Would have preferred it the other way round but still, John and Harold for £2 mustn't grumble.
