Will have to do some investigation to find out what the first 5 releases were.

    CAR

The Chris Bell is one of my favourite 45s ever - can't believe it turned up in a North London junkshop. luckily I have a copy or I'd be sick with envy.

    Nice one Tom.

I have the Stamey record - yours for a modest but interesting trade?

        • My bro and I had a copy of Neil's Heavy Concept Album back in the day and I always enjoyed it. Tempted top pull it out again and enjoy the screechy heavy metal stylings of "Lentil Nightmare".
Enthusiastic vagueness passes for scholarship in the twilight world of the disc-jockey.

            BEST RECORD EVER!

It's only been postal finds for me lately, but picked up a few great online cheapies recently, including a couple of heavy wants for peanuts.

            Mustard- Good Time Comin' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmie4D2Jd54

            Killer glam flop!

            Davy Jones- Jezebel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY6GV50vPPo

My favourite version of this chestnut I've ever heard...killer arrangement by Johnny Keating. NOT THE MONKEE! Weirdly, this is his 'other' single- the nice, but not all that thrilling (to these ears) Shenadoah going for big bucks amongst popcorn types. I've also got a 45 by him called 'mighty man' which is ace and worth seeking out if you're into these early sixties orch/r n r sounds

            Mr Brooks-The Family http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqznja7kCUw

theme from a long forgotten documentary- also on gather in the mushrooms.
"Not only that but the WHOLE COVER is UNCREASED with only 2 or 3 TINY creaselines near the opening edge about half way down!!!! In the same place (about half way down the opening edge), there is an absolutely TINY and PERFECTLY repaired split" (xxxrecords)

I've got that one too. Long time since I've played it and hadn't twigged it was the same label.

Sounds good. Will get a wee list together. I'm away from my records at the moment but still go to visit them about once a week.

                      • Is it possible to paypal 40 pence to someone..?
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.
