  • June Finds 2012

The month has staretd off well.

An unusual mix of 45's from charities today:

The blue labelled 45 is the theme to Deep Throat.

Charity LP's. Not seen The Toys LP before.

Early 80's 12's. Only know a few of these. They were cheap so I took a punt on them hoping there might be a gem in there.

Rakim - Once Upon a Time, Biz Marke -Something for the People, The Beatnuts - Very Good my Friends (remixes and instrumentals)
Cheryl Lynn - Got To be Real
    Lefturno - Out of Sight
GQ - You're the One for Me
Samson & Delilah - I Can Feel your Love Slipping Away
The New Jersey Connection - Love Don't Come Easy

Janice McClain - Giving my Love
    Kreamicle - Hold On
    Chosen Three - Mr Turbulence
Gayle Adams - I'm Warning You
Colors - Am I Gonna be the One
    Candido - Dancin' and Prancin'

    Dolos - Night so Right
    Shiek - Finders Keepers
    Intrigue - Fly Girl
Lavias - Do you Wanna Dance
    A.B's - Deja Vu

This 45 was given away free by The News of the World. The packaging and attention to detail is amazing!

The A side on this is pretty dull but the B side is cool.

    Oh and found this too.....

    Chuffed!

Comus was the only thing not from a charity.

Purchased from a local shop for a very good price.

A while ago I asked for some dub recommendations - today I bought my first dub record:

Very nice - gonna keep a lookout for more good dub. Also a very nice vocal jazz record:

And then some piano jazz (normally not fond of but love Tyner) with string orchestra arranged by William Fischer and some nice flute:

Hmm... sorry no pics. Was lazy. In the end it probably took more time to present myfinds like this though...

and that is you and me side by side, on the licorice ride"

LOL Andrew, bet your missus was chuffed as f*ck when you walked in with all that lot.

(I'm just thinking what my missus would say/do)
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

Dog-sitting for Mum once again so git the local countryside fleas and scooped up a lot of crap and a handfull of decent stuff for ~0.33 Euro each. See if you can see whicg is which:

London pop news - Island comp of King Crimson, Spooky Tooth etc.
Kansas City Stompers - nice voc n perc take on Shadrach feat Gitte Hænning
Toots Thielemanns in Holland - funky Light my fire w harmonica and organ
Jan Wodjak & Wawale: Zoztan z nami melodio - Polish pop w one semi-funky track
one Christian record with one groovy number
one schlager record with a massive drum break
Break Machine LP - coundøt ressit stone mint w silly pic sleeve w big glasses
Kraftwerk - the one w Robots and Model
Imagination - remix LP w Just an illusion and Muisc and lights
Rene & Angela: I'll be good remix 12"
                            T-Ski Vally: Sexual rapping 12"
The Soul Brothers: Just like Heaven/Horsing around 7"
Sir Charles Matthews & The Vennel Soul Choir: That soul thing/Village of love 7"
Daimi: Ebbe Skammelsen 7" - Danish pop/jazz folk

+ some (Euro) disco which I hopefully can sell for $$$: Lime, Flirts, Divine, Phreek, George K Band
+ some of those UK budget cover comps

+ Cannonball Run on rare Danish ex-rental VHS
