  • The Leather Boy 'I'm A Leather Boy'

Just picked up two mint copies of this on US MGM in my local chazza. WtF?

Not rare or anything but quite gratifying as it was on Pebbles or one of those comps that all the cool, slightly older people used to be into when I was an infant in the late 70s or so....

Also, I love it when oddball things like this turn up in the wild. Wonder how these got there...

        Yeah of course!

Decent little haul, actually.. those 2, a Prince Harold 7 on Verve, nice copy of The Kinks 'See My Friend' , a Johnny / Rolf Harris nonsense 7" ('The Monster')... Plus a few LPs - ;Shelley Manne 'Daktari' ; a Sergio Mendes and New Brazil 77; Elvis 'Speedway' soundtrack (fantastic!) plus an early Kent northern soul comp!

There was a good article on "The Leather Boy" and his other incarnations in a recent issue of "Ugly Things", recommended. I think I first heard "On The Go" on Wavy Gravy or "Four Hairy Policemen" or one of those great comps from a few moons ago.

Our friend Milan was also the main man behind the Head Shop LP on Epic from 1969 - recommended for psych fans.
