Thanks! The missus has a work trip to Europe to schedule so I might tag along if it can be arranged around those dates

Would be happy to return from Utrecht with these two in my possession.

Got me excited for November just seeing the overprices rares.

Good to see you found some good stuff

I take it these are April rather than November though?

The weird thing I find about Utrecht is that so many sellers bring the same copies of over priced ultra rarities each time that (for me) the records lose their appeal.

It's a strange environment where vertigo swirls and European jazz rares appear more abundant than mid-tier collectibles which you don't notice as they are sat in the stall crates.

Glad you had a good, and fruitful time Mescal. Sunbirds is so good. Got the reish a while back, can't see me being able to afford a clean og, and a crackly one wouldn't do the music justice. Some goodies on that sellers wall.

Only took one pictures, but what a wall that was.

His prices were out there as well, as you might imagine

    Ok, small pics, but:

Top left: Colour Haze - ST: One of the best stoner bands around, and this is one of their best albums.

Top Right: Sunbirds - ST: Well known around here I suppose. Some Jazz fusion funk goodness. Very chilled out listening with some great flute, guitar and keys work in places. Tight rhythm section.

Second row left: Jenghiz Khan - Well Cut. Prog rock from Belgium. Been after a copy of this album for a while, but was alway too expensive for my taste. Glad to bag this very playable VG copy for relatively cheap.

Second row right: La planete sauvage - OST: Very eerie, and sometimes strange soundtrack, with some great breaks and a cool returning theme. Haggled down to a very reasonable price because of a visible (but non audible) scratch on an otherwise mint lp. Score of the weekend for me.

Third row left: Virus - Revelation: Saw a few copies of this lp at the fair, but went for a VG - copy. A bit crackly but plays nice. And what a great lp. Has all the right psych/prog/kraut moves. I like this more than their other lp.

Thir row right: Feelings - Reissue of this well known library lp, since I couldn't find an OG at the fair . Seller said I made an excellent choice and I agree. Some chilled out easy listening.

Bottom left: RHCP - BSSM. I learned to play bass with this album. Probably listened to this album more than any other album.

Bottom right: Tool - Aenima. Together with the above RHCP lp, one of the best lp's to come out of the 90's. Absolute favourite of mine. Not so cheap, but this vinyl pressing sounds massive. Well mastered, and well, great lp from start to finish.

    Utrecht - nov 2016 - the finds

Had a great weekend at Utrecht, as usual. Came back with a mixed bag, as usual. I went for quality over quality. And yes, I did go out on saturday evening. There was a vinyl 45 party going on in the city center, where the public could choose the 45 from big crates in front of the dj boot. The perfect
vg+ party quoi . And beautiful Dutch women all over the place , but I digress...
