    • Doormat clobber from me again.

Pure Love & Pleasure - A record of.... Good lp flagged up in the Bins, 1 killer, but a good listen throughout.

Fantasio Daze - Comp of mostly killer Dutch 45s from late 60s to early 70s. 2 x 10" lps on Op Art. Not sure how official this comp is, but the track selection is pretty ace to my ears at this point in time. Sound quality is pretty good, but the few ogs I do have sound a lot better than on here. Plenty on here I'm still chasing ogs of, so this will do for now.

Andrew Bown - Tarot / Lulli rides again. Fab 2-sider. Would love to have found one for 50p in a chazza, but patience not being one of my virtues, I pulled the trigger and shut the door on that quest. Lovely clean promo. Stokedcool:

The Dizzy Limit -Alone / Mare tranquillity. OTT phased nonsense on Mare Tranquility. Good when I've eaten too many Smarties and am feeling a bit hyper

Bob Downes - No time like the present / Keep off the grass. I was a bit choked up when I got this as I used to have a wonderful old ginger cat who used to spend most of his time draped around my shoulders. Lucky old Bob seems to have enjoyed the same thing. Frantic, fuzzy, brassy top side. B side ain't no slouch either.

Mi Generacion - Toma tu parte de felicidad / Triste y solo. Blown away by Triste... when it was recently posted up. Wah Wah reish. Sounds great.

The Free Cats - Le Chat / Folk Resurection. Once again thanks to board members for flagging this one up. Very cheap to pick up.

Annapurna - Everything for everybody. Spare, complete banger.

Flame Records ep Excellent ep from 1976 bringing together some very cool and very expensive tunes from the Flame Records catalogue.
Tracks are; Double Dutch - Double Cross
Phoenix - Ode to Jimi Hendrix ( you might like this Paul K)
      Kleptomania - Play
Bag - Tripdream (the one I bought the ep for)

Puzzle - Hey Medusa. Remember dancing to this at one of the Mystery Trips 30+ years ago, stuck in my brain like a limpet for years. Forgot about it and suddenly it's popped up again. In these wonderful days of the internet, it's easy to claw back your past (well the bits you can remember anyway) Top, top tune.
Everyone tear down your own little wall
That keeps you from being a part of it all
Because you've got to be one with the one and all
You've just got to be close to it all

          • Quick trip into town to pay some bills and apart from 50p spent on 'The Power and the Glory' the rest came free from the market. The white sleeve contains a VG+ 'Boogie with Canned Heat' my phones glare is obscuring an album on 'Мелодия' with a nature scene on the front, cant work out what it is probably folk and a Xavier Cugat album. Looking forward to giving 'Blightys' a spin voted 'club of the year' in 1972. If there is anything of interest I'll update, quite chuffed with the Indian record but it needs cleaning as it has some gunk on it. :

              • Yeah worth 50p for a Mint copy I suppose. I don't see it that often these days. The Organ Jazz Samba thing is an 'audio fidelity doctored for super stereo' reissue on RCA so that looks interesting. Stereo Action series like the 'Esquivel' reissues.

Just listening to the Russian one and its schlager crooning still I'll listen through might be something bonkers on it, it has a couple of commie pop numbers with some catchy intros I'll have to steal. The 11+3 record is bloody awful Polka music now listening to 'Tony Back - Hammond Party 2' on ADRhythm only grabbed because he's using a real drummer but he's loving a medley too much for my liking!

                • There's no mention of where 'Blighty's' was located on the record, its on the 'SRT' label. Only guessing from a quick google but I think it was in Farnworth and later became the 'Pleasuredome' but I could be completely wrong. Either way the food were dead cheap except for the chicken in the basket 50p! :

I dont know what 'Steak and Cowheel' is but it sounds rank marvin to me.

                  • My father tells me he ate at Blighty's on a works do for a company me mum worked for in 1972, I think my email depressed him slightly. Anyway the charity shops have been bare so its been doormat finds. A seller on ebay did a deal ''buy 5 and get free postage' and they had reduced their prices for a day so I went for this lot:

Sandoz - Intensely Radioactive Richard H Kirk project still in its shrink which had bent in one corner slightly but other than that Minty. Not a complaint just another thing I notice leaving shrink wrap on does. From 1994, makes me feel old as it still sounds fresh to me. :

Walkingseeds - Bad Orb Whirling Ball Psyche influenced, Grunge before Grunge album from Liverpool produced by Kramer hence getting a Shimmy Disk release in the US.

Johnny Harris - All to Bring you Morning Not essential compared to 'Movements' but always meant to pick up a copy and never seen it in the wild.

The Jimmy Owens - Kenny Baron Quintet - You Had Better Listen Took a chance as it was badly graded and mentioned water damage at the base but its not bad and the price was dirt cheap.

Vanishing Breed - Between Arrival and Departure Not listened apart from one track I found on amazon which perked my interest sounds like IDM mixed with real instrumentation.

Edit: Listening to this its a truly uplifting experience starts off like a folk album and goes on a bit of an afrobeat tip. What a great album, really chuffed I bought this. I was right about the dash of IDM was not expecting the afrobeat influence though but to me this is a modern folk album forward looking but with one foot firmly in the past very acoustic guitar and vocal driven. I'm loving it unhappy about the sticker damage caused by the vinyl emporium sticker someone has tried to remove without success but its the music that matters still you'd think record shops would use removable stickers its like what was left of it had been on it for 20 years. I love it when a punt really surprises you and that's just the case with this, certainly my punt of the year so far and one of the best things I've heard this year.

They were the five I chose.

I bought this because it was sealed and a good price. Modern Classical think Max Richter. Just to add on 'Village Green' records who do some interesting releases I've discovered.

                    Keith Kenniff - Branches

Oh and my copy of 'Pye Audio Corner - Stasis' on Ghost Box arrived which I'm saving for a peaceful day.

                    • The Walking Seeds Sensory Deprivation Chamber Quartet - Dwarf lp is cheap to pick up and has some fantastic guitar abuse courtesy of Bevis Frond. When the mood takes me, Wipeout 2 from that lp is the only thing that satisfies.
Worth a listen if you come across it.

                        • I've not listened fully yet, but is there a 'Mugstar' connection somewhere along the line seems to a Psychedelic undercurrent within Liverpool that's been bubbling under for some time?

                              • Had a listen today turned out to be quite a bass heavy vinyl rip in the end complete with odd crackle and jump but not that bad sounding. I'd say its got a West Coast Psyche feel to the whole thing with a bit of Southern Rock thrown in. There is a beautiful track early on very folky with flute that caught my ear but its all about the 8 minute instrumental near the end called '5.00' I think.

You are right about its scarcity giving it value and it seems to sell well in the US going by Popsike. Even an average copy went for over 200 dollars in 2005, there's that reissue which I guess is easy to get hold of via discogs in Sweden if you like it. Hard to value now with that about even though only 500 were pressed if memory serves. If its Mint I'd say its still worth a 200+ euro for a serious collector but I'm guessing. Great find though gets an OOfff from me!

I have no idea what the lyrics are about I'll have to turn to you for that.
