Cheers!

Library -

"Panoramic Strings/Soft Sounds" - Conroy 1975 w/Ronnie Hazlehurst, Dick Walter. 2 great lounge tunes from Ronnie, with another great lounge tune from Dick, plus the OST-style funkathon that is "Panoramic Pursuit".

"Classical Concussion" - Francis Monkman KPM 1979. If you like the "Long Good Friday" OST then you'll love this - same sound, same musicians! (Crease on bottom right of cover so cover = VG, vinyl = EX)

OST -

"Electraglide in Blue" - James William Guercio U.A 1973. Ultra-funky OST with "The Chase" featuring a nice, open break. Read the www.blaxploitation.com review!

45 -

"Return of The Saint/Funko" - The Saint Orchestra PYE 1978. A-side is great, driving library-style dramatic disco-funk. The A-side is one of Brian Dee's best funk-ups, taken from a Regency Line library LP!

”Shirley’s Theme/Rickshaw Ride” – Laurie Johnson EMI 1972. A-side is a nice lounge cut, while the B-side is a monster, funky, cheesy carve-up.

Easy/Jazz/Funk -

"The Primeval Rhythm of Life" - Mandingo EMI Studio 2 1973. Classic funky easy-listening LP. (VG+/VG+)

"The Primeval Rhythm of Life" - Mandingo EMI Studio 2 1973. Classic funky easy-listening LP. (EX/EX)

"The World Of" - Maynard Ferguson CBS 1970. Classic funky big band LP arranged by Keith Mansfield and featuring Kenny Wheeler etc. "L-Dopa", "Chala Nata" - need I say any more?!

"Jubiaba" - Barbara Thompson MCA 1978. Nice UK jazz-rock LP w/Derek Wadsworth, Bill Le Sage and Trevor Tomkins. Couple of really nice tunes and a 4 bar open drum break on "The Funky Flunky".

"Haven for Sale" - Alan Haven CBS 1969. Another Keith Mansfield produced LP, featuring a great funky arrangement of "Love for Sale".

"Rarities" - The Shadows EMI 197?. Features the excellent, funky "Boogatoo" with open drum break, "Scotch on The Socks" and open drum break on "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue".

"Plays the Music of Gilbert O'Sullivan" - Roy Budd PYE Quad 1973. Great easy-funk LP with some brilliant Roy Budd Fender Rhodes playing on it. (VG+/VG+)

“Themes for Superheroes" - Geoff Love MFP 1979. Geoff's best LP by a mile. Brilliant versions of "Return of The Saint", "Batman", "The Six Million Dollar Man", "Wonder Woman" etc.

"Move It! - Roy Budd/Colin Frechter D&M 1976. Nice easy orchestral funk on Budd's arrangements of "Love for Sale" and "Oceans Apart" (VG/VG)

"Romance, Fire and Fancy" - Nelson Riddle Intersound 197?. Great lounge and disco-funk from this legendary arranger.

"The Concert Legrand" - Michel Legrand RCA 1975. Nice lounge LP from Legrand, recorded in the UK with all Britain's heavyweight sessioners.

“New All Time Golden Hits Newly Recorded” – Ramsey Lewis CBS 1973. Very funky LP from Ramsey with some really nice and heavy funky cuts on it.
A leaping rocker with a strong mood, a moderate beat and a safari feel.
