I'm looking for Romantic Attitude by John Fitch & Associates, which was a B-side to a 45 of which the name of the A-side escapes me right now... Stoned Out Of It maybe?

It's also on a cheap LP, Beacon Brings It To You, apparently a charity classic!

I'd prefer the 45, but will settle for the LP - can anyone help?

oi - that's on my wants list too, mate! last copy of the 45 went for 40-something on the bay, and it wasn't even that clean. The 'Romantic Attitude' side is also on one of the Rubble comps, volume 15 '5000 seconds over toyland'. These were reissued on vinyl by Past and Present fairly recently and seem to have been remaindered already - I picked up a few volumes I was missing at a record fair in Brizzle a few weeks ago for three quid each - so might be the easiest and cheapest way to get that track. But of course if you find more than one copy of the 45.....
We know when a mate buys it for you too.

Isn't it in demand on the Mod scene too or something? Let's do a mutual 'spare 45' deal til we have them suckers safely in our grubby mitts... I'll track down that volume 15 in the meantime....

thats what a top mod /pysch collecter told me..its a pretty uncommon uk 45 like a lot of stuff on beacon except most 45s on that lable are shite...you aint never gonna see it again now!!! so whats £75 its rarer than a lot of funk 45s that go for £100+

I reckon £50 is about right for the 45. Have you got a Beacon Brings it... vol 2 by any chance?

Well of course you're gonna see it again. Odd thing to say, TuckinFrat.

So, do you still have copies of the Beacon sampler LP? I'd like to buy one.

what i meant was coz everyone knows about that record now which makes it hard to find stuff coz somebody else is allways gonna get there first, i sold 3-4 copies of the lp this year in about 3 months ..where as not many knew bout that record a year or 2 ago and i was certainly findin em and now i aint coz everyones lookin for it and you cant even get the poxy LP anymore

i know fatcity records are trying to liscense that tune

if i find one nick you got 1st on and if it comes out on reissue your welcome to my LP of it

I don't understand why Fat City are 'trying' to license it - it can't be that hard, it's been reissued three times already - once by Bam Caruso in the late 80s/early 90s, once by Past and Present when they reissued the Bam Caruso lps, and once by RPM (who I believe own the rights to Beacon) earlier this year on the '94 Baker Street' compilation. I'd have thought an email to RPM would be enough to sort it out...
